Pixel 8 And Pixel 8 Pro : New Feature Updates

Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro revealed new feature updates. Both Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will receive Android OS upgrades. It includes security fixes, and new feature updates for the next seven years. This is the most important new feature updates Google revealed for Pixel 8 And Pixel 8 Pro.

As OS support may routinely lapse after only a few years. But Google pledge is especially noteworthy for an Android phone. Google’s Pixel 7A and Pixel Fold will lose software support in 2026 and security upgrades in 2028. Google can now give this guarantee for a variety of reasons. The Tensor processor used in Pixel phones is a notable example. As Google now controls its CPU and no longer depends on vendors to maintain software compatibility with outmoded hardware.

Google has also been breaking down Android into smaller components. Project Treble was baked into Android Oreo as a “modular base” that drew borders between portions of the OS. This makes Google and third-party manufacturers to add features without fear of damaging others. This eventually evolved to Project Mainline, which attempted something similar with security features.

It’s preferable to conceive of Google’s commitment as seven years’ worth of updates. There are also legitimate concerns about what “feature drops” these phones will receive. Tthe corporation restricted software features solely to its Pro phone. It’s not as serious a commitment if Google arbitrarily selects which features get to which phones.

If Google succeeds, the Pixel 8 series will be among the most durable smartphones of the decade.
